KINGSTON, N.Y. – Recent filming in the city that forced parking restrictions wrapped up on Wednesday.
The filming of scenes for the Apple TV+ series “Severance” was completed on Wednesday after several days of filming at city locations. It was not immediately clear if more filming was to take place in the city on future dates.
The Emmy-winning series is about “a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives,” according to its website.
The cast includes Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken and one-time SUNY New Paltz student John Turturro. The first season’s nine episodes aired in 2022.
Filming for the series has taken place in other parts of the city, mostly in the downtown neighborhood.
This week, the filming forced parking restrictions in the areas of Pine Grove Avenue, Cornell Street and its municipal parking lot, and on U.S. Route 9W from the Delaware Avenue exit through North Broadway in Port Ewen.
Filming also took place on Broadway between Liberty and Elmendorf streets, where an empty storefront showed a “Kier Uniforms Co.” sign.
Filming for the series also took place in January. The series’ first season was partially shot at several locations in the city in 2021.
