Redmi has always been known for all its affordable smartphones from the company Xiaomi. Redmi is now trying to form its own entity which will be independent in nature. The first mobile phone that Redmi by Xiaomi brand launched was the Redmi Note 7 and this phone has ended up gathering a lot of attention. The reason why this phone became so much popular is that of the competitive pricing. This phone has made a lot of people curious because of the Samsung G1 48-megapixel sensor which is basically a part of the camera setup of the phone. Xiaomi has also shown a few glimpses of their coming phone Redmi Note 7 Pro and another flagship device.

The chief executing officer of Xiaomi Lei Jun has said that they will be releasing a flagship smartphone in the market and this smartphone will have the Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Lu Weibing recently shared a photo of the team of Redmi along with the R&D facility of Xiaomi in Shenzhen. He has also confirmed that both the teams were discussing the latest flagship smartphone, which will be coming out in the near future.

According to Xiaomi:

“We are really looking forward to collaborating with Redmi and building a flagship smartphone, which will be able to make huge sales numbers. We will also be using all the latest hardware while building this smartphone and this will be one of the best investments for people looking for a high-end smartphone.”

Redmi announced their first smartphone on the 15th of January and it finally went out for sales in the country of China at roughly Rs 10,400. This phone was powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC. Three variants of the phone were released and all of them came with a 4,000 mAh battery and a quick charge facility. This phone will soon be launching in India because Xiaomi has already started teasing it the audience.

Redmi also launched a budget-oriented phone called the Redmi Go which was running on Android Oreo.
