The Facebook Messenger has come out with a very big update recently which shows that users will be able to remove their messages even after sending them. This is the feature which was previously available in WhatsApp and it is now finally available for Facebook Messenger. If you have texted someone on Messenger by an accident, you will be able to remove it immediately.
The Messenger application will let users have 10 minutes to decide if they want to remove the message or not. Just like WhatsApp, Messenger will also leave a remark in the chat that the message was deleted.
Facebook ended up asking a rhetorical question:
“Have you ever accidentally sent a message to the wrong group, mistyped something or simply wanted to remove in a chat. You’re not the only one! Starting today we are launching a feature where you can easily remove the message on Messenger.”
Facebook owns WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger and this is the reason this feature which was already available in WhatsApp is now available for Messenger. According to the scandal last year, the Chief executive officer of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg was able to remove some of the messages he typed and this forced him to release the feature for everyone. People have been very much open about this feature because this feature comes in handy for everyone.
This feature is generally used by people if they end up typing something wrong or they want to change what they wrote. People who use Facebook Messenger on a daily basis are very excited because this is the feature that they were looking forward to for quite a long period of time.
Facebook messenger will also have the feature of removing the message within 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, users will not be able to remove any conversation so keep in mind the timeline thing.
The remove feature will now be available for the mobile applications of Facebook Messenger on both iOS and Android operating system. The update for both Apple and the iOS operating system is now available in both the App Store and Play Store.
