In the virtual event, which will take place during the afternoon of this Friday, February 17th, Balvin will perform his songs with a 4.5 meter robotic arm that moves to the rhythm of his music.
Through his instagram account, Alvaro Osorio, J Balvin’s father and manager, revealed the details of the Colombian’s presentation in the metaverse, which he claims has been “created specifically for virtual reality (VR)” as a 180-degree musical experience.
“The whole show has a futuristic vibe, including a crazy robotics that doubles me in size. It will be one of my craziest shows and I thank Meta and iHeart for their collaboration and the platform to explore my passion for technology in a way that allows my fans to experience my music, together, in a different way,” said the reguetonero in the released statement.
J Balvin said he is always “looking for new and innovative ways to expand access to art and the Virtual Reality space offers unlimited opportunities,” which is why he was encouraged to offer this new experience to his fans.
The concert will be broadcasted through the Horizon Worlds platform in the United States and in Latin America it can be followed through the Meta Quest TV option on the iHeartRadio accounts.
