New Hogwarts Legacy PS5 Update Improves Performance

A new Hogwarts Legacy PS5 update is being deployed, improving the game’s performance as well as improving stability and online connectivity.

Last week, Warner Bros. already rolled out an update for Xbox and PC players with the PS5 update being delayed. Fast forward three days and we now have a new update for both PS5 and PC. According to the developers, “This patch addresses overall gameplay performance and stability as well as online connection improvements primarily for PS5”.

Looking through the patch notes, this brand-new update addresses some crashing issues on Sony’s console and improves performance in the game’s Fidelity Mode. The patch also comes with various gameplay improvements and changes, including some fixes for cinematics and save games.

On PC, this patch packs some fixes and changes for save games and crash collection. You’ll find the release notes for this new update down below:

    • Fixed issues with achievement data being properly pushed to Wizarding World portal after linking
    • Added additional retry connections to WB Games server in the event session expired

Hogwarts Legacy is available globally now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The PS4/XO and Switch versions will release later this year.
