Following the leak of iPhone 15 CAD designs, new photos from respected industry insider Unknownz21 have exposed Apple’s curvaceous base model iPhone 15 design.
Working with MacRumors, the leaker has delivered the first real-world look at the front of the entry-level iPhone 15. Compared to the iPhone 14, the iPhone 15 has significantly more rounded corners, thinner bezels, and the same pill-shaped cutout as the iPhone 14 Pro, signaling the arrival of the Dynamic Island on all iPhone models.

Unknownz21 has also shared an image of the iPhone 15’s USB-C port, which will replace Lightning on all iPhone 15 models this year. The leaker states that the resolution of both photos have been “deliberately altered, by request of source.” The photos are also heavily watermarked, though that is unlikely to hold up anyone skilled in Photoshop for long.

This is the second photo leak from Unknownz21 in a week after the leaker shared an image of the iPhone 15 Pro bottom edge, complete with USB-C port and what looks like a titanium chassis. Unknownz21 has an excellent track record over the years, including sourcing an early version of iOS 14 months before release.

Apple has long been tipped to bring its iPhone 14 Pro design to standard iPhone 15 models this year, following a lukewarm reception to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. That said, leaks claim iPhone 15 Pro models will still have superior chassis materials, newer (massive) cameras and faster performance, though the price gap will grow as well.
For upgraders, picking which iPhone 15 model to buy will likely be a lot harder in 2023.
