Redmi K20 will debut with a seventh-generation in-display fingerprint detector, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has supported through a teaser article on Weibo. The most recent teaser comes just before the formal launch of this new Redmi flagship that’s scheduled for May 28. Separately, the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro have allegedly received the 3C certificate in China. The certificate is thought to have implied that although the Redmi K20 will include 18W rapid charging service, the Redmi K20 Pro may possess 27W support. It’s also being reported that the Redmi K20 may arrive internationally as the Xiaomi Mi 9T.
From the set of improvements, the Weibo article by the Redmi group has officially confirmed the Redmi K20 will include the seventh-generation in-display fingerprint detector. Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing at another article on Weibo said whilst detailing the new sensor it is going to have 3P lens together with a little macro camera. The detector is touted to possess 7.2-micron ultra-large pixels combined with 100 percent bigger photosensitive area on the former fingerprint detector. The fingerprint scanning region has also been improved by 15 percent.
To remember, the Mi 9 has been established in February using a fifth-generation in-display detector. The organization, however, did not show the existence of the sixth-generation fingerprint detector on some of its newer versions.
Along with this official teaser, the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro have allegedly obtained that the 3C certificate in China. The telephone with version numbers M1903F11A, M1903F11T, and M1903F11C that’s thought to have obtained the 3C certificate is thought to be the Redmi K20 Pro. It’s found to come using a 27W-supporting MDY-10-EH charger.
There’s another telephone on the supposed 3C list with version numbers M1903F10A, M1903F10T, and M1903F10C. These are the different variants of this Redmi K20 and therefore are said to get MDY-10-EC charger with 18W support.
The telephones with version numbers M1903F10 and M1903F11 have been currently tipped to function as two brand new Redmi flagship versions. Among these with version number M1903F10G was recently seen on the IMDA database in Singapore. The identical version number also allegedly appeared on Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) since the Mi 9T. Because of this, it’s theorized that the Redmi K20 could introduction globally as the Mi 9T.
That having been said, we weren’t able to see the certificate listings of the stated model numbers. It is, hence, safe to select the development using a pinch of salt.
As we said, the Redmi K20 launching in China in a place for May 28. However, in the meantime, additional teasers of interest to the new smartphone will be very likely to hit the internet.
